In Japan, hatsuyume is the first dream of the new year. A vision believed to carry omens of what lies ahead. The traditional belief is that dreaming on the first night of the new year of Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant, in that specific order of fortune,  brings good luck for the year ahead.

Hatsuyume Records is an independent record label founded in Athens (GR) in 2022. We release music that lives in the spaces between light and dark. Ambient, darkwave, synthpop, electronic, and psychedelic pop. Music for late nights, long drives, and the moments words can’t reach.

We are dreamers at heart and music is an expression of those dreams. It’s a reflection of the world as we see it.

We release on vinyl, cassette, and digital and we mean every format we choose.
